Tony Christensen - Pastor
Brother Tony was born in Flint, Michigan his family moved to Verbena, Alabama in the Spring of 1976. He attended Verbena High School until 1980 and Graduated at Jacksonville High School before entering the Army National Guard where he trained as a Drafting Specialist with the Army Corp of Engineers.
Bro. Tony answered God's call to the Gospel Ministry in 1983 when he began preaching in churches around the Chilton County area. As a guitarist and songwriter he was used of God to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a diverse audience as a member of the Contemporary Christian Group "ALERT".
The town of Verbena has always held a special place in Bro. Tony's heart, it was there that he and his wife Jan and daughter Whitney became members of Verbena Baptist Church. Verbena Baptist called Brother Tony as Associate Pastor in 2002 and as Senior Pastor in 2003. Bro. Tony is a Graduate of New Orleans Theological Baptist Seminary.
