Watch, Watch, Watch!
"Watch and pray" Matthew 26:41
The Christian Soldier is compelled to constant guard duty. He is faced with an enemy who never sleeps, who is always alert, and who is ever prepared to take advantage of the fortunes of war.
Watchfulness is a fundamental principle of Christ's warriors. They cannot dare to be asleep at their posts. Such a lapse brings them not only under the displeasure of the Captain of their salvation, but also exposes them to added danger.
Watchfulness, therefore, is a necessity for a soldier of the Lord.
Lord, You tell us in your Word to watch and pray so that we may not fall into temptation. Make me a worthy soldier of Your army. Amen.
